Musical work as a means of aesthetic perception of preschool children

This thesis focuses on the use of a musical work as a means for the development of aesthetic perception of preschool children. The aim of the thesis is an educational program called Swan Lake through children's eyes, which is exposed to the goals of aesthetic education for preschool children. The theoretical part focuses on the current concept of preschool education and aesthetic education, aesthetic education, and its definition, it also deals with music activities in kindergarten, especially listening activities and the characteristics of the developmental specialty of preschool children. The practical part contains an educational program through which children get acquainted with the work Swan Lake by P. I. Tchaikovsky. A questionnaire for kindergarten teachers is the part of the practical part. It examines whether and how kindergarten teachers work with a musical work to develop aesthetic perception.
The author and the performer of the musical work as parties to copyright relations in the process of creation and exploitation of the copyright work

The aim of the thesis is to present the legal framework of the copyright and rights related to copyright to authors and performers of musical work. As a relatively complex issue, in my opinion, it is important for authors and performers as artists to have at least a basic idea of what rights and obligations arise in the process of creation and exploitation of musical works and what legal framework of protection the law provides to them. Moreover, this topic is very close to me because I am myself author and performer of musical works. The first chapter deals with the musical work in terms of its individual components, both from legal and music theory point of view. Considering that the criterion of uniqueness of the copyright work does not exclude the use of parts of other works, I also examine the issue of legal uses of foreign works in the process of the creation of copyright works and the issue of plagiarism. At the end of the first chapter I mention the creation of a copyright work by collaboration of multiple authors (which is typical for musical works). In the second chapter, I introduce to the authors the catalogue of their moral and property rights, focusing on those areas that are relevant to musical works, including the duration of their rights and post-mortal protection. Comparison between fine art and musical pieces of composer Luboš Fišer

This diploma thesis deals with comparison of five musical pieces of composer Luboš Fišer with fine arts. The thesis is divided in the two parts. In the first part we analyze general art trends in 1960s. We will make reference to the most important trends and personalities, who composed and painted in that age. We will also compare literature, fine art and music in Czech Republic in 1960s, which were the best years of Fišer's work. The second part of the thesis describes in detail five Fišer's pieces, which were composed in 1960s. These are Ruce - Hands (1961), Patnáct listů podle Dürerovy Apokalypsy - Fifteen Prints After Durer's Apocalypse (1965), Caprichos (1966), Double (1969) and Nářek nad zkázou města Ur - Lament over the Ruined Town of Ur (1970). Analysis of those pieces is based on comparison with inspiration sources (Albrecht Dürer: Apocalypse, Francisco Goya: Caprichos, old Sumer text called Lament over the Ruined Town of Ur) or it is based on comparison of Fišer's composition method with fine art piece (Double) or it is analyzed just from the semantic point of view of the piece (Hands). Goal of this work is to present composition of distinguished Czech composer Luboš Fišer to general public using analysis of his pieces. Collective management of musical works in Czech Republic

The subject of this thesis is Collective management of musical works in Czech Republic. Copyright law is specific area of Intellectual property law that protects copyright works. Intangible character of copyright law is the reason of lower level of possible protection by the right holders themselves. This is the reason why copyright holders unite in associations so called Collective management associations (CMA). CMA can ensure better protection than right holders themselves and push ahead their interests. CMA acts in their names but on the account of the right holders. CMA mainly protects two types of rights- mechanical rights (reproduction, renting etc.) and performing rights (concerts, background music etc.). Because of worldwide boom of internet piracy, income from mechanical rights in the beginning of 21st century drastically declined. In accordance with this trend declines the importance of mechanical rights in their original form. That's why this thesis is concern mainly on performing rights that are connected on communication to the public. Piece of music and its legal protection in relation to internet piracy

The thesis deals with contemporary author's law which is effective in Czech republic in relation to a piece of music and its legal protection. The goal of first chapters is to outline the crucial statutes concerning subjects as authors, executive artists and recording producers. A great deal of the thesis concerns with internet music piracy which results from a mass file-sharing. It also includes an evalution of current author's law and its efficiency in today's information society.
